Text on a path is a fun feature of Paint Shop Pro.
All it requires is a vector shape to follow.
I have this photo I want to frame with text
First I choose shapes from the tools menu
Then I drag the shape out where I want the words on my photo
I leave the stroke outline visible so I can see where the text will go but I turn off the fill color so I can still see the photo
Next I choose the text tool & hover the mouse over the shape outline until the A of the text tool becomes an A with a curve under it.
The curve indicates it is going to follow the shape outline. If there is no curve it will just follow a straight line.
Then I start typing my text
It wraps around the corners automatically
But it does not make allowances for the corners
So you have to play with it a bit. You can add spaces to push the whole word around the corner
You can backspaces to fit the words in better, or you can adjust the kerning of the font
Once you have the words looking the way you want, you can hide the shape so only the words are still visible.
Text will follow any vector shape, so the possibilities are endless!
Enjoy!
