August Desktop Freebie!

Can you believe that it’s already August? In just a few weeks, school will be back in session and fall activities will be in full swing. Enjoy the sun and fun while you can!

It’s been a crazy summer for us. Our fourth child, Timothy, was born in early May and has been in the NICU for almost three months. He has Down syndrome and was also born with some breathing and feeding problems that eventually led to a feeding tube and a tracheostomy. He is a really sweet little boy and has been through so much in his short life. We’d planned to bring him home last week but he started running very high fevers and tested positive for MRSA. As it turned out, he is just a carrier of MRSA and after many, many tests (and sleepless nights on my part), his doctors figured out that his fevers were being caused by one of his medications. He’s doing really well now and while the road ahead may be hard at times, we are so excited to finally bring him home. I think it’s fair to say that driving away from the hospital tomorrow will be one of my favorite memories of the summer of 2012.

Snag this desktop freebie (created using Penny’s A Beautiful Life kit), add a picture and reminisce about your favorite summer memories so far. I’d love to hear about them in the comments.
